Cyril Reade is Associate Professor of Art History in the Department of Fine Arts at Rutgers-Camden, and Director of the Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts. He joined  Rutgers in September 2011, coming from the Rochester Institute of Technology where he also taught art history. He is a visual artist, creating mixed media installations from found and fabricated elements; a curator of contemporary art; and a writer, interested in American and European art of the present and of the nineteenth-, twentieth- and twenty-first-centuries.
